Biography
Mansoor Husain is executive director of the Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research in Toronto, a multidisciplinary institute that aims to dramatically improve the management of heart failure across the lifespan, from children to older adults. A specialist in cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology, Dr. Husain is director of the Toronto General Research Institute and past affiliations include leadership positions at Heart & Stroke/Richard Lewar Centre of Excellence at the University of Toronto and Hypertension Canada. Dr. Husain's research focuses on elucidating the molecular bases of cardiovascular diseases - including diabetes and heart failure - and identifying therapeutic targets involved in pathophysiology.
